Below

Below is a doom/sludge band that has in its formation Adam Nicholson, this name maybe not familiar to you, but if i say that this fella plays in Seidr than maybe this association makes sense. Below provides a pretty hefty supply of their trippy doom with their recent release, "St. Anthony's Fire". Stretched out over four extra-long tracks, "St. Anthony's Fire" is an exercise in balance, moving between super-heavy, slow doom mixed with some psychedelia. Although this album is absolutely amazing, i just wished the guitars sounded more thicker, more dirtier... But that's just me being picky, "St. Anthony's Fire" is great, the song "Ancient Tongue" is just amazing. Be sure to keep an eye out on their Facebook page for physical copies, which should be available in the near future. Truly it might achieve the title for one of the best underrated albums of this year.. the truth is we need more albums like this.
